Haniwa Hiroba Athletic Apparatus Course はにわっ子広場アスレチックコース

Post by Kevin Cozma for 高松市英会話 ケビンズイングリッシュハウス

Hello, everyone. Have those of you living in Takamatsu made it to Haniwa Hiroba? If not, you should go there the next chance you get. It is located at the top of Mt. Mine. There is a camping area, a barbecue area, slides and fun spots for kids, and also an athletic apparatus course. Our favorite was the last one. We had so much fun there that we would like to have a school party there this fall.

The Athletic Course consists of 24 stations that you must climb up or on, swing through, balance on or cross.  This was a great workout for all three of us.  My favorites were the areas where I could do brachiation.  Yukari hated this one.  Must be because of her delicate hands.  Risa the gymnast was the superstar of the day.  Instead of just clearing all of the stations, she tried to clear them in difficult ways.

Well, that’s all for this blog.  I have to go and stretch.  I don’t want to injure myself when we go back to Haniwa Hiroba.  Remember, I am around 40.

    Hey Kevin,
Just happened across your website by random.
Your family looks wonderful. Good job!
It looks like a great park. We will have to check it out this summer for sure.
    Enjoy the season,

    (From the old Fundy days)

    • Wow! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? How are you doing? “The Fundy days”. Cool way to put it. Yeah, the park was great. You’ll have to check it out, but go soon, before it gets too hot. Say hello to the missus for me.

We are doing good, thanks. Living the life of leisure out in Tadotsu. Your daughter is so big! How old is she now? With our 3 year old son, we are always on the look out for new parks to absorb his endless energy. Hopefully the summer will slow him down just a little. This is my 10th Japanese summer? It just doesn’t get any easier, does it?

        • Hello Richard,

She is now 10 years old. She’s a great kid. Your son will love it. 10 years? Got ya beat! This will be my 15th and a half (I originally came in August). Nope, it doesn’t get any easier.

Hey, did you know that Fundy is in Japan right now?
