Happy New Year from ケビンズ イングリッシュ ハウス

Post by Kevin Cozma for 高松市英会話 ケビンズイングリッシュハウス

Happy New Year, everyone!  I hope that you had a great holiday and are excited about the new year.

We had a nice holiday.  We saw lots of family and friends and slept a lot, and I mean A LOT.  Unfortunately, we (I mean “I”) ate and drank way too much.  It looks like I will be starting the new year with a diet.

We had a chance to head to Kumamoto to see Risa’s great grandma and enjoy traditional Japanese New Year food.  It was great.  The highlight was the horse sashimi.  Yes, that’s right.  Raw horse.  I loved it.

Here are a few pictures from the traditional Japanese meal we had in Kumamoto.  Click on a picture to expand it and start the picture gallery carousel.

Speaking of Japanese beer, here is an incredible video of one.

Have you started thinking about your New Year’s resolutions?  We will tonight.

Cheers,

Kev

Hello Kevin Looks delicious. I ate a lot of New Year dishes (pieces of sweet bean paste, of course). Did the ones you ate have jam?

    • Emoticons are cool. I use them sometimes.

The food was delicious, indeed. I ate lots of rice cakes (“mochi”) and they had sweet bean paste in them. My favorite meal was the “basashi”, though 🙂
